So good, yet so bad.

I decided yesterday to go to Timmy's for breakfast- 15 points for a small french vanilla and a bacon and egg sandwich. I made up for it at lunch- a salad. then we went to Olive Garden for supper. I ate lots of salad and only half of my meal. I had one point left over.
Today I had a PB sandwich made of WW bread and .5 cup of canned fruit and a glass of juice. Lunch will be leftovers from yesterday. Supper is probably going to be chicken souvlaki and rice with veggies. We'll see if that's what husband is in the mood for after work.
I am going to the gym today after housekeeping comes and cleans the room- if they do. they haven't been by in a couple of days. we'll see what happens.

1.2 effing pounds

That's all I lost over the first week of WW. S lost 3. NOT FAIR!!!!!! Oh well. I am going to have to work that much harder this week. I am going to the gym every night when Al is home. my goal(s) this week are to go to the gym for at least 15 mins per day, and to not dip into my bonus points. Hopefully I'll get a pressie after the next meeting.
Fingers crossed.

Back from the weekend

Well, we survived the weekend at the farm. Eating wise, I did OK- had ice cream twice, but other than that, it was OK. Last night i really needed chips, so I bought a small bag. It pushed my points, but oh well.
Today has started out OK. A PB and J sandwich on Ww bread, a nectarine and a glass of grapefruit juice. Lunch will probably be a salad. Supper will be something at Tim Hortons.

Why is it...

That when you know you have a certain amount of food to eat, you are ALWAYS hungry?
I had the munchies all day yesterday. Today will be better. My late night snack was cheese, garlic sausage and crackers. Husband is in for surgery today, and I, being the sympathetic wife I am, joined him in the snack, because he couldn't consume anything after midnight.
Because he can't eat today, I didn't think it was fair I did, so I have only eaten a pepperoni stick so far today (4 points), and when he's in, I'll go grab something for lunch. Supper will be whatever he feels like having.
I hope that the scale is down at least 3 lbs on Tuesday. Here's to hoping.
I am going to try to be good today. Nights seem to be my hardest time. I will have to try to cope with that.
At least we'll be at the farm this weekend, so the fast food temptation will be eliminated, and we'll actually be able to cook something, which will be nice. I think we'll hit the grocery store on our way out of the city.
Well, off to the hospital.

My ass is HUGE

The meeting last night was boring. I came out without one useful thing. But I know how much I weigh. Not pretty. It's going to take me a while to get to my 10 per cent loss. More than 6 weeks, I am sure.
So, today started out OK.
Breakfast was whole wheat toast with butter, 3 pieces of bacon and a yogurt.
Snack was 2 tbsp of hummus with some celery sticks (really wanted pepperoni, but couldn't justify 4 points for 1 stick)
Lunch will be a salad of some sort with the parents
Supper is chicken, baked potato with sour cream and salad and fruit salad for supper. Not sure if I will have any points left for a snack, but we'll play it by ear.
It's kind of hard doing this without a proper kitchen, but we'll make do. I have to hit the dollar store today for some stuff- tinfoil, another bowl, measuring spoons and cups and a spatula.
Hopefully I'll be able to do something creative for supper tomorrow night- husband has surgery, so we'll see what he's in the mood for.

Starting for real

I am going to WW tonight with S- meeting time is 6 pm.
I really don't want to know what the scale reads. Really, really, REALLY don't want to know. It will take a while for me to hit my goal. Hopefully it will be easier doing it with someone, and hopefully we will be able to keep each other accountable. That's the theory anyway.
It'll be a little more difficult in a hotel, rather than being at home, but at least I don't have a fridge full of food to call my name.
Today I did OK- a bran and a carrot muffin and a glass of juice for breakfast, a ham, cheese and lettuce sandwich and a handful of chips for lunch, and a pepperoni stick for a snack. I need to work more veg into my life. Supper will be a chicken ceasar salad after the meeting.

... back on the wagon... again

Well, we have been living in the hotel for more than a week now. It's OK. I am bored to tears. S and I are starting WW this week. Again. This time, i am going to attend meetings, and I have someone to do it with. Hopefully that will help. She is supposed to be studying for an exam, so we are probably going to start tomorrow night. I wonder if there's any way I can drop 20 lbs in one day. I really don't want to know how much I weigh. I am a little scared of what the scale will say, but it's the first step on the road to healthy living, right?
I would like to get down to about 190 or so, give or take. I have about 100 lbs to lose. YIKES. At least I will be doing it with a friend, so it will help. Plus, I am a bit competitive, so I am sure I will be able to use that to my advantage. I am also going to hit the gym downstairs. Haven't used it once since I have been here. The dogs are going to day care wednesday and thursday this week, so I am going to go those days. Good luck to me.

TFIG- AKA weigh in day

Well, I jumped on the scale this morning. I am down a total of 4 lbs. Yeah me! I have been trying to cut crap out of my diet, and, for the most part have been successful. I can still have treats, but I don't need to go overboard.
Breakfast was a bagel and coffee. I have to stop that. I have no idea what lunch is going to be. It's L's turn to bring something in, but it looks like she forgot. I may hit Timmy's for lunch today. We'll see.
Supper is up to husband, so who knows what it will be.
I have decided that I don't like it when my meals are left to someone else.

Thursday, March 29

Well, today was a carb day- I didn't do too badly. I had a bagle and a medium french vanilla this morning, a small piece of cake at our staff meeting and then three pieces of thin crust pizza at supper.
It was a production day, and I needed the carbs to think straight.

Not bad. Hopefully I will be able to keep it up. I have discovered the secret to fluffy scrambled eggs or an omlette. add a little water and beat them for about 60 seconds. YUM!
